Wikipedia contributions and promotion
I have contributed to Wikipedia
in several ways since 2006. I believe it is a very useful resource, form of collaboration on knowledge building, and tool for teaching and learning. [NB- This page is being developed]

but also to several others, with the username "A12n

Discussions about use of Wikipedia in education
I have discussed ways of using Wikipedia in focused ways in education, especially in regard to African studies. See for instance these messages on the H-Africa list:
Promotion of Wikipedias in African languages
Together with Martin Benjamin, I founded the AfrophoneWikis list for discussion of African language editions of Wikipedia.
