MultiEd-L - the "Multilingual, Multicultural Education Electronic Discussion Forum" - was intended as "a vehicle for discussion of topics such as, but not limited to: bilingual education, language policy and langauge rights, English as a second langauge, etc." It was hosted by a research unit of the Rossier School of Education, University of Southern California, called the Center for Multilingual, Multicultural Research (CMMR) of . The list functioned for a number of years, but appears to be closed now. It was not archived.
I joined in about 2003, as I recall, and contributed intermittently. I found MultiEd-L to be useful for making some new contacts and as a way of learning more about multilingual education issues.
