GKD
The GKD list (for Global Knowledge for Development) was set up by EDC in mid-1999 and apparently ceased functioning in 2006. Periodically from 2003-5, GKD was also used for focused discussions for the DOT-COM Alliance project.
Its purpose was described as follows:
"The Global Knowledge for Development List (GKD) was established to facilitate broad discussion of the role and impacts of knowledge, including information/communications technologies (ICTs), for sustainable development. ... GKD offers a major forum for the exchange of experience and knowledge. GKD examines a range of themes related to the use of ICTs for development..."
