Two quick items of possible interest relating to Chinese language instruction:
1) "Building Chinese Language Capacity in Australia" http://www.australiachinarelations.org/content/building-chinese-language-capacity-australia A report commissioned by the Australia-China Relations Institute, written by Dr.Jane Orton, reveals the lack of Australian students enrolling in Chinese language study. (Seen on the Chinese in Africa/Africans in China list.)
2) "Sinanci & 豪萨语 (Chinese & Hausa) materials" http://niamey.blogspot.com/2016/04/sinanci-chinese-hausa-materials.html A blog posting that takes a quick look at materials for learning Chinese in Hausa, and for learning Hausa in Chinese. Hausa is a major first language and trade language of West Africa.
