Hi Andreas, Your remark may not have been intended as a cheap shot but it came across that way. It may be that you misunderstood that he was (if I'm not the one mistaken) referring to the http://www.unicode.org/cldr/survey_tool.html page and not the URLs you copied in your message? In any event, Dwayne happens to be one of the folks involved in localization who is the *most* tuned in to "life outside the internet" as you put it (e.g., translate-a-thons in South Africa).

From looking over this thread the quick question I have is whether there is a need for and way of improving access to information relevant to CLDR such as Dwayne is seeking - on the Unicode.org/cldr pages. As more people from more places work on more locales for more languages, one imagines there will be more such questions relating to the survey tool, and referring them to bookstores and libraries will be even less helpful than it is now.
