African language content - sites & directories

I maintain a list of some diverse sites with significant content in various African languages at http://www.bisharat.net/links2.htm#7 . This is due for revision and expansion soon, but I wanted to ask if any of the readers of this group also have any suggestions of links to add to this collection? The aim is to get as good a coverage as possible of sites in African languages and interesting presentations (monolingual or multilingual) using those languages.
In the longer term I expect that the number of such sites - beginning of course with those in or with significant content in more widely spoken languages - will become too numerous to keep track of. One idea that is more sustainable in the long term is to build language-specific directories using something like the Open Directory project at http://www.dmoz.org/World/(approve sites) (thanks to Andrew Cunningham for this suggestion).
